Debra Sutton began her career in Colorado as a clerk for
Chief Justice William Erickson of the Colorado Supreme
Court. She later joined the firm of Weller, Friedrich, Ward
and Andrew where she gained experience in a broad range of
areas, including products liability, construction, fraud and
arson, coverage and bad faith litigation and became a
partner in the firm. Ms. Sutton relocated to Littleton,
Colorado in 1993 where she formed Debra Sutton & Associates,
P.C., an AV rated firm, which prides itself in providing
highly efficient, result-oriented client service.
For 25 years, Ms. Sutton has focused on direct
representation of insurance companies in matters of coverage
and bad faith as well as third party liability claims,
including automobile, premises liability and construction
litigation. She has handled fraud and arson claims,
conducted examinations under oath and provided legal
opinions to insurance companies throughout her career. Her
appellate practice has included cases in the Colorado Court
of Appeals and the Colorado Supreme Court.
